Patapsco is a comprehensive high school which offers a magnet center for the visual and performing arts with primes in dance, vocal music, instrumental music, performance theatre, technical theatre, literary arts, and visual arts. Taught by faculty who are active in the arts community, this center provides an intensive knowledge base and working experiences in student’s chosen area of artistic endeavor. Students in the magnet comprise approximately a third of the overall school population and take two credits each year in their primes in addition to their comprehensive studies.
